Tennessee Craft – Southwest

Tennessee Craft – Southwest

Tennessee Craft – Southwest (formerly MACA) covers Fayette, Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton counties, and is open to everyone interested in fine craft from the beginner to the most accomplished. Artists, students, gallery owners, schools, guilds, co-ops and appreciators are welcome to join. This active chapter is committed to promoting local craft. Shoppers and collectors find our work at craft fairs, trunk shows, art galleries and museums. Member meetings with guest speakers and various outings help individuals succeed and find support in our region.

FALL Member Workshop: Bringing your artwork into the digital age with Brandy Boyd
Date: September 26, 2017
Time: 6 – 7:30 pm (will include a brief member meeting)
Location: Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis
Description: This class will touch on common obstacles that artists encounter when they attempt to showcase their work on the web. FREE admission for Members.

SUMMER Member Workshop: Fine Silver Metal Clay with Brandy Boyd
Date: July 8th
Time: 10 am – 2 pm
Location: BMB Designs, 6266 Stage Road, Bartlett
Description: This class is an introduction to Fine Silver Metal Clay. You will create at least one finished piece of fine silver jewelry. Class fee includes 4 hours of classroom time, 10 grams of fine silver clay, kiln firing, and finishing. All tools and supplies are provided for use in class. Limited to 8 spots (overflow class possible if demand warrants).
