Artist Statement
I began whittling in 2015 as an escape from the day to day chaos while I was traveling in the Pacific Northwest. I found it to be a calming hobby that I enjoyed immensely and haven't stopped creating since. I form each bird from a single piece of old growth western red cedar and fan carve them to give them their unique appearance. I am able to include the lore that inspired me to create them upon request, and enjoy doing public demonstrations whenever and wherever I can.
P.S. My website is currently under construction and is expected to launch by the end of March.
