Description of Work Lapidary artisan, jewelry maker
Chapter Midstate
Company/Business Higher Ground Stones
Artist Statement
As a lapidary artisan, I cut, grind, and polish my own stones. This gives me the freedom to transform raw material into unique gemstone art. I then create bolo ties using both traditional, and unconventional leather cords and tips. My pendant stones are set in deerskin lace, then placed on beaded or leather necklaces. I also sell handmade, earrings, and interchangeable gemstone bracelets.
Originally from Northern, VA (Berryville) moved to Nashville TN in 2011. I've had the honor of making bolo ties for several local musicians. My mission for Higher Ground Stones is to create gemstone jewelry with as much beauty, originality, and positive energy as the people who rock them!
