Artist Statement
Malia Meyer started Music To My Ears Jewelry after inventing a process to form "gemstones" out of recycled CDs. Her wire work has morphed to a more organic freeform approach in order to accommodate the marvelous irregularities in depth and texture of the gemstones. Her jewelry is exceptionally lightweight with extremely hypoallergenic options. She was chosen as an emerging artist at the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in 2018. In 2022 she won an award for her work at St. Stephen's Art Show and in 2023 she was chosen as Best New Exhibitor.
