Artist Statement
Pattern, color, and texture are at the heart of the objects I make and have been present in the various materials I’ve explored over the years: textiles, clay, concrete, and mosaics. These qualities that can be found in two-dimensional work, but I prefer the physicality of making sculptures. I love structural problem solving, and dancing (…sometimes wrestling…) with tools and materials as I bring an idea to life in a tangible form.
