Artist Statement
First I scour the antique stores and internet looking for vintage window sashes. Once I get them home I sand them down, base coat, and paint them. Designing each window to be its own creation is the best part. Most often my inspiration comes from nature. Next, I use a weatherproof adhesive to adhere blown, hand-cut glass and at times antique glassware onto the original window glass. As far as I know of no one else uses this exact process. As I mentioned before each one is unique and completely weatherproof. I also make glass birds, bugs, and air plant holders. They are all of glass using soldering techniques. All my work is very colorful and has a whimsical feel to it.
