Bristol area Tri-State Basketry Guild members, will be at the Sullivan County Library in Blountville to demonstrate basket weaving and sell baskets on Monday, October 8, 12-5:30 pm, and Thursday, October 11, 5-8 pm.Event Date:

Event Details:
The Tri-State Basketry Guild and the Sullivan County Public Library in Blountville, Tennessee, invite the public to watch basket weaving demonstrations as well as to purchase baskets at reasonable market prices. Dates and times are Monday, October 8, 12-5:30 pm, and Thursday, October 11, 5-8 pm. Visitors will be invited to weave a row on a large basket, put their names in, and possibly win it! A Guild member will complete it. Founded in 1999 and affiliated with the Tennessee Basketry Association, the Guild has over 30 members from Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month, and welcomes new or experienced weavers.
