Tennessee Craft: The Future of TACA

Tennessee Craft: The Future of TACA

We here at Tennessee Craft have been getting some questions about why we decided to rebrand our nearly 50 year old organization and wanted to share a few thoughts with you.

Above all, we feel that this change will allow us to raise the profile of craft and our artists across our state. With a refreshed brand, we will be better equipped to reach and connect artists and audiences throughout Tennessee. The new branding aims to engage all those interested in handmade work, from emerging talents and casual Pinterest followers to master craftsmen and expert collectors.

Our Executive Director Teri Alea had this to say:

Throughout our culture we have seen a renewed interest in handcrafted, artisan work. With such support for today’s makers, we knew this was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves as the connecting point for artists and the public. We are confident that our new look and increased dedication to Tennessee’s fine craft tradition will shine a spotlight on amazing talent across our state while growing the amount of direct support, high-profile events and educational opportunities we offer.

We didn’t accomplish this on a whim or alone.  We relied on the skills of area marketers to accomplish the rebranding who, over the past two years, have worked to conduct research, update the mission, redesign the organization’s logo and launch a new website.

We would like to thank you all for your support of TACA over these many years and look forward to your support and partnership as we continue to work for Tennessee’s craft community as Tennessee Craft.
