Artist Statement
All my life I've been a maker and a builder of things. As a child it meant using sticks and things I picked up on walks in the woods. Later in life I built furniture, architectural mill work, cabinets, and even homes. These Windsor chairs and stools that I now create represent the best of all of those life skills and experiences. I'm creating work that has sculptural beauty and a presence in any space. These pieces rely on the technical and physical skills from my furniture and even construction background....even those sticks I played with as a small child are represented in small ways in my work today.
