Artist Statement
I have been drawing for around 60 years and painting for over 50 of those. Having spent much of my work life in various graphic art and marketing positions, I was not doing a lot of painting-for-pleasure. Retirement lets me create art because I want to!
I began working with polymer clay about 8 years ago as a way of stepping away from complex paintings but found that I enjoy it just as much as painting!
My favorite part of creating art is watching people SMILE when they see it.
