Artist Statement
I am eternally in wonder of what can be done with yarn as an art medium. Through yarn I feel connected to so many people - my mom, who taught me crochet so long along, the women in my church who convinced me knitting was also a worthwhile manipulation of fiber, and countless ancestors who must have wove as it is the most fundamental of fabric creation. I hope that by continuing the traditions of creating with yarn that I can inspire others and create connections in my local and global community. I hope to bring color and light through my artwork.
