Artist Statement
My work delves into my childhood fascination with the worlds that exist underneath rocks and rotten logs. Through art I explore my relationship with the environment, focusing on essential, but often overlooked, elements of the ecosystem. I use organic forms, imperfect patterns, and unconventional subject matter to create a balance of fascination and beauty. I try emulate a sustainable eco system in my creative process by using salvaged urban lumber, and returning the organic waste generated back into the environment.
