Artist Statement
Eliot Caldwell is a contemporary designer and sculptor from West Texas whose studio is currently in Nashville, TN. Her work spans most 3-D practices, including ceramic sculpture and mixed media. Her personal style is influenced by her study of shapes and objects, which pays homage to Spanish culture and the West Texas landscape, creating modern forms that visually connect these natural elements and vibrant influence.
She studied mixed media at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, and received her BFA from Texas Tech University. In addition to her studio work, she currently is a creative arts instructor at Vanderbilt University.
