Artist Statement
Gayle has been a student of art her entire life. Originally from Chicago, she lives with her family in the home and art studio they built on the ridge of the Upper Cumberland Plateau in beautiful Tennessee.
Having studied pencil and graphite drawing, she learned about value and composition. She is currently exploring acrylic paint and color.
While enjoying the sunsets in Tennessee, she is trying to represent that warm glow by incorporating gold leaf into her paintings.
When debilitating pain condition prevented her continued work with animals, she poured all that passion into creating art that truly speaks of her connection with both animals and nature.
