Artist Statement
Inspired by the groundbreaking work of artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Norman Rockwell, Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Radcliffe Bailey, my art explores the rich interplay of color and narrative. Jacob Lawrence’s “Migration Series” has been a key influence, demonstrating the profound impact of storytelling through visual art. In 2023, I expanded my creative pursuits by founding HMB Arthouse, an arts and crafts business designed to bridge the gap between art and community, making the creative experience more accessible and immersive for all.
