Artist Statement
I work with "what nature leaves." My work uses leaves, flowers and and shapes, colors and seasons of Mother Nature. She has a wondrous palette. I use actual leaves and natural dyes to convey her magic to textiles such as shawls, scarves, home goods and some clothing. I also work with the many blues of indigo and traditional and contemporary shibori techniques.
