Artist Statement
| My body of work originates from the pure enchantment of beauty, form and light, exploiting the simple effects of color juxtaposition. As the viewer looks closer all seems woven through with satire a distillation of sorts. This for mr creates a mode of expression that ranges from the use of simple medium to a complex verity of elements , like road signs showing me "This Way" to lives journey. Primarily my palate is of wood and metals with features of man made components as accents to insure I'm still around on Earth, overall, it represents for me the re discovery of guiltless instinct, revealing what the poet Shelly described as "The Blank astonishment, that charges every sense and makes all thought take wing" |
