Artist Statement
Billet + Blade is a one-woman workshop dedicated to making simple things with simple tools from simple materials. All of my wood is sourced locally in Middle Tennessee from fallen or trimmed trees. The pieces are hand rubbed with a food-safe homemade blend of raw linseed oil and local beeswax. These pieces are made to endure daily use for years to come.
