Artist Statement
My process is to create with functionality and artistic creativity in mind, to consider how "I" might use a form in my own life and to allow myself the freedom to step out of my box at any time along the way.
My love for clay began in 2009 when I fell head over heels into a bucket of slurry. I utilize the wheel as well as hand building techniques to create functional and sculptural work. The majority of my work is oxidation fired stoneware, however, I also use gas reduction to create my Raku work.
