Artist Statement
I’m Melonie, designer and owner of MoonRocs Jewelry. Bold jewelry has been a fascination of mine since I was a child. My mother was a performer/singer and I’d totally lose myself in her collection of jewelry that seemed at the time larger than life itself. Those baubles from my past helped defined my character over the years and I draw inspiration from these for every piece I create. I became a jewelry designer because it reminded me of my past, I remain a jewelry designer because my pieces give women the exclamation point at the end of their sentence.
