Artist Statement
I design and create fused glass, dishes, plates, bowls, shadow boxes, cigar ashtrays and jewelry. The expression of taking multiple items and making them into a unique and visually inspiring piece, is the motivation behind the work I create. I love the processes required and the organization of making fused glass. I am fascinated with the scientific properties of glass, necessary to design, combine colors, textures, shapes, and techniques. The possibilities are endless through kiln-forming. I cut, manipulate, and form the glass shapes with flow, dimension, and texture inside my kiln. My creations are a combination of decorative, functional, and wearable art.
