I am the artist behind “sustainaBAGity.” Through my business, I harness the power of sustainable fashion to spark conversation about consumption and how that is impacting the world around us. This artistic medium allows me to visualize and vocalize my discontent with overconsumption and offer tools to combat the fast-paced waste cycle one bag at a time.
My crochet needle is an instrument of change that weaves a narrative beyond the creation of tote bags and highlights the paradox of consumption in a capitalist society. In the face of a plastic epidemic, my sustainaBAGity project serves as a beacon for creative and sustainable solutions, aiming to transform the lifecycle of mundane plastic into aesthetically pleasing art.
