When I think of my favorite new (to me) artist, one person clearly comes to mind. (He’s probably been coming for years, but I first saw his work only 2 fairs ago, so I’m counting it)! I don’t know his name, but he is always somewheres on the right side of the fair, if you are facing the Parthenon from West End. This guy builds the COOLEST little statues! He takes bundles of copper(?) wires and twists them together. Then, through some mixture of adept artistry, nimble fingers, and just plain magic, he fleshes out the bundle of wires to form elaborate trees! Each wire ends up being a different branch of the tree. The most fantastic one, is blowing in the wind! I don’t know what inspired him, or how he manipulates the wires to make them, but they are just he coolest things. I’ve been eyeing them for a while, but I think I’m going to try and claim one for myself at the next fair. They are just too fantastic!
