A tradition in the mountains of Coker Creek since 1968, the Coker Creek Ruritan Club will be hosting the 50th Annual Autumn Gold Festival. Featuring handmade arts and crafts from a time period that was a much simpler way of living, with techniques from the 1800’s-1900’s, and also including current handmade goods. The festival will be held at Coker Creek School on October 13th and 14th from 9:00am-5:00pm. The grounds will be full of activities such as bounce houses, vendors, demonstrations, gold panning, wagon rides, and local authors will be available with a children’s story time on Sunday at two thirty. There will be live entertainment throughout the festival, and on Saturday at noon internet sensation and hometown prodigy, Emi Sunshine, will be performing. The Princess and Queen Pageant is always a popular feature, and this year we will be inviting all past Pageant winners back for a reunion this will take place on Sunday. There is nothing like a cool fall day in Coker Creek. We invite you to bring your family out for a day to remember.
