Event Details:
Artists and makers are consistently seeking innovative approaches to traditional craft practices; creating work that is historically conscious, while resonating with newer audiences, younger makers and current issues. It is important now more than ever to examine our histories with a fresh lens in order to forge new paths and make room for new voices and perspectives, while recognizing the significance of those histories. Bridging the Gap: Contemporary Craft Practices highlights 35 artists under 35 years of age who are utilizing traditional materials and processes in contemporary ways.
