10am-5pm, or normal library hours

Nashville, Tennessee 37215
InFlux is creating a library of handmade pottery, to be located at the Green Hills library and checked out like normal library books, allowing ordinary people, from a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds, to experience using handmade objects in their own home.
Influx Nashville is a collective of artists working in clay in Nashville, TN. Our goal is to take on artist projects with a focus on the medium of clay, and to place emphasis on the investigation and research that are a central aspect of the creative process. We question the conventional constructs around Craft and Art and draw inspiration from interdisciplinary backgrounds. We have all been parts of art communities outside Nashville, and we are excited to bring our diverse experiences to this burgeoning art community we call home.
The exhibit is dedicated to Anderson Bailey, a Chattanooga clay artist who participated in one of the early InFlux exhibits. Although we recently lost Anderson to a battle with cancer, InFlux hopes to help encourage the next wave of ceramic artists by asking for help raising awareness of the new Anderson Bailey Clay Scholarship Fund at Tennessee Tech. University in his honor. Please visit the InFlux website to learn how to donate.
