Event Details:
Julia Whitney Brown graduated with a BFA in Fine Art in 2011 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has worked as a studio assistant at Peters Valley Craft Center, for Black Mountain College artist Karen Karnes, and for studio potter Susan Bostwick. She has participated in several artist residency programs including Chautauqua in New York, and Vermont Studio Center. In 2017, she began partnering with the non-profit Old School Farm in Nashville, TN to create a pottery studio whose mission is to offer meaningful employment to adults with intellectual disabilities making fine Tableware -with supporting educational programing and community outreach.
