Event Details:

An interactive even that will explore how craft, specifically ceramics, can be used to help people reconnect in a turbulent, divided time. Participants will purchase a vase from one of the 10-12 participating ceramic artists for a nominal amount on two conditions: 1) they must give the vase away after 30 days use to someone they want/need to reconnect with, and 2) they must document the vase’s journey by email, postcard, or social media – that is, tell us who it was sent to (friend, aunt, son, neighbor, etc.) and why. The twist? – the recipient of the gift is asked to do the same thing after another 30 days and asked to document that, as well. Each piece should have 3 homes, with the last home being permanent. Our hope is to help people reconnect, and to chart some interesting paths for our work.
