The Arrowmont Experience

On display in the balcony gallery at the Emporium in Knoxville, TN, "The Arrowmont Experience" is an exhibit featuring Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts' current artists-in-residence, accompanied by a small selection of work from Arrowmont's permanent collection.

The Emporium Center is Knoxville’s first true arts center, which re-opened following renovations during the summer of 2004. The 28,000 square feet of flexible use space houses multiple art galleries showcasing local and regional artists, the administrative offices of the Arts & Culture Alliance, and offices for seven other arts and cultural organizations.

Event Details:

“The Arrowmont Experience” exhibition will feature new works made by Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts’ current Artists-in-Residence, Paige Ward, Emily Culver, Max Adrian, Xia Zhang, and Elyse Krista-Mische. The Arrowmont Experience will be on view October 6-27, 2017 at The Emporium Center, in Knoxville, TN. An opening reception will be held October 6, 2016, 5-9 pm at The Emporium Center. Admission is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday- Friday 9 am – 5pm. The Arrowmont Experience features contemporary, craft-based works in a range of media including including ceramics, fiber sculpture, mixed media jewelry, drawing, and installation. The exhibit will also include a small selection of pieces from Arrowmont’s permanent collection.
