Craft Artist Rachael Lowman will be demonstrating the art of weaving on a loom from 10am to 4pm at the I-26 Welcome Center in Unicoi County. Craft Artist Rachael Lowman is a resident of Washington County and a senior at ETSU University High School in Johnson City. She is a member of the Over Mountain Weaver’s Guild and has been weaving for a little over a year. Some of her favorite weaving techniques are double weave, waffle weave, crackle, overshot and lace weaves. She enjoys several other fiber crafts as well, including cross-stitch, crochet, bookmaking and fiber dyeing. Rachel will be demonstrating how to weave a gingham kitchen towel on a harness floor loom from 10am to 4pm at the I-26 Welcome Center in Unicoi County.
