Event Details:
Gel plate printing is monoprinting without a press. It’s fun, addictive and requires no drawing or painting skills and no special equipment other than a gelatin plate which a person can make at home or buy commercially in all shapes and sizes. Julianna will have several available for people to interact and make their own prints, as well as other supplies needed such as inexpensive acrylic craft paints, stencils, stamps and found objects. People can walk outside and pick up leaves and flowers from nature or textured found items in their vehicles or on their person. Finished prints can be framed and used in mixed media collages. Felton will demonstrate folding printed papers into small origami sculptures.
